Heat treatment aircraft engine rotor blades
For the heat exchange of rotor blades of an aircraft engine, PICS designed a control cabinet with thyristor units for controlling the infrared lamps and a temperature control with a PMA KS98-2 controller.
Result :
- Accuracy: overshoot of maximum 0.1°C when heating at a rate of 3°C/min.
- Efficiency: After the first test run the PID tuning was already perfect.
- Simple operation: process start/stop, adjustable program parameters and graphical monitoring of the process progress on the KS98-2.
