Dredging International and the HMS Wireless bridge in dredging works on the Seine in France.
The Anybus Wireless Bridge was developed by HMS for reliable wireless communication via Bluetooth and WLAN. Ideal for replacing Ethernet communication cables in hard to reach or dangerous locations.
Two dredgers from Dredging International and a pumping group on the quay were equipped with the Anybus Wireless Bridge II from HMS with external maritime antenna 8.5dBi / 2.4GHz order code AWB3010.
During dredging work, reliable wireless Ethernet communication is required between the PLC of the pump group on the quay and the PLCs of the two dredgers over a distance of about 150 meters. The three Anybus Wireless Bridges II from HMS together form a WLAN 2.4GHz.

The Wireless Bridge makes it possible to use leading TCP / IP based industrial Ethernet networks, such as BACnet / IP, PROFINET, EtherNet / IP and Modbus TCP, via Bluetooth and Wireless LAN 2.4 / 5 GHz.
Point to Point or Multy point
Point-to-point or Multi point Anybus Wireless Bridge is often used as a replacement for an Ethernet cable (point-to-point communication). But it can also be used as an access point for up to seven wireless LAN / Bluetooth clients.
